John “JV” Hogan represents a range of clients, from individuals to startups to international companies. He focuses his practice primarily on representing business owners.  He enjoys serving as general counsel for his business clients on the legal issues that business owners face on a day to day basis, including, business disputes, employment matters, intellectual property protection, corporate formation, corporate structure and planning, mergers/acquisition, corporate financing, securitization of debt, real estate acquisition and leasing, licensing and distribution issues, contracts, risk management, insurance matters, and litigation.  He provides high-quality, full-service business representation, “soup to nuts,” and believes in building long-term relationships with his clients.  Being a business owner himself, JV understands the challenges and difficulties that business owners face every day. As a result, JV provides his services in a timely, efficient, and cost effective manner so that his clients can continue to focus on what drives their business and not just the legal issues that they may face.

JV earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles and his juris doctorate at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He is admitted to practice in the State of California and the United States District Court, Central District of California. He lectures in educational, institutional, and organizational settings on current legal issues that affect his clientele. JV is a California native and he enjoys donating his time to local community and service organizations in order to give back to his community and the public. He is a Loyola High School graduate and supporter, and has been voted Top Attorney by Pasadena Magazine since 2014.

JV’s clients can attest to his dedication, problem solving, professionalism and relationship building.  His client testimonials include, among others, the following:

“JV provided high quality professional services throughout the entire month of negotiations, provided useful and practical legal advice, called my attention to issues I did not even think about, and properly and professionally contradicted me when that was in my best interest…worked on Saturdays and Sundays when the schedule of the deal required it, completely and thoroughly understood my objectives and made sure they made their way into the contract. Please convey my thanks and appreciation to JV and to all supporting office staff.”
